Qualification And Requirements for TVET Colleges

The qualifications and requirements for admission to TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) institutions vary by nation, college, and programme. The general requirements for a TVET are listed below;

  • The minimum requirement is a successful Grade 9, but even better is successful Grade 10, 11 and Grade 12.
  • A year-end school report for Grade 9 or higher; or
  • An NQF Level 1 Qualification; or
  • ABET Level 4
  • A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirement for access to NQF Level 2

How To Apply For TVET Colleges

To apply for a TVET College, follow the steps below;

Step 1: Get your application from the college of your choice

All new applications are done online on the official website of the college.

Step 2: Complete your application form in full

Provide all the required information needed to complete the application form. Attach your active e-mail and cellphone number.

Step 3: Attach all supporting documents.

All applicants starting a new qualification are required to upload the following certified documents:

  • Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
  • Certificates/Qualifications
  • Recent Academic results
  • Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
  • A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
  • The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).0.
