TVET Colleges application for the 2026/2027 academic year is open to all prospective students who have completed their high school and passed grades 9-12. The application is the process whereby the applicant submits their application documents to the college to gain access or to be admitted to the college. All applicants are expected to meet the application requirements of the college before submitting their application.

To apply to a TVET college, ensure that you meet the admission requirements, have supporting documents, and apply through the online application system. Candidates must begin their application process between the 1st of April and the 30th of November 2025 for the 2026/2027 academic year.

TVET Colleges Application Opening Date 2026

The majority of TVET colleges in South Africa accept applications online. To apply to any of South Africa’s TVET colleges, candidates must begin their application process between the

All applications for admission must be submitted before the deadline since late applications may not be considered for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Details About The Three Application Periods

For TVET students, there are three application periods. The following are the details:

Semester 1 and Trimester 1 of the National Certificate Vocation (NC(v))

This is done once a year. At the start of each year, an online application and a walk-in assistive capture application are available.

2nd and 3rd Trimesters

Done in May and September, according to the DHET calendar. Also available is a walk-in assistive capture application.

Second semester

June- July is the start of the academic year. This was accomplished using a walk-in assistive capture application. You may apply online, at the NSFAS headquarters, or at the bursary office of the TVET College you want to attend.

TVET Colleges Application Procedure 2026

Applications for admission to TVET Colleges for the 2026-2027 academic year are to be done online. To apply online for the 2026/2027 academic year, follow the steps outlined below:

Visit the official website of the TVET College and download your application form.
Fill out the application form completely with the required information and provide your email, ID, and cell phone number verification. Your ID, e-mail, and cell phone are used to verify your identity.
Upload certified copies of supporting documents. Ensure that all supporting documents are attached. All applicants who are beginning a new qualification must submit the following certified documents:

Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
Certificates/Qualifications.
Recent Academic Results.
Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
A valid study permit (Foreign national students)

Review and submit your application. You will receive a confirmation email containing all of the application information.
