TVET Colleges Open For 2026 Application
The application for tvet colleges is regulated by the Department of Higher Education and allows various tvet colleges to start accepting students from the 1st of April and ends on November 30th, 2025. All applications must be submitted before the closing date; late applications may not be considered for the 2026 academic year.
TVET Colleges Admission Requirements 2026
Before applying to a TVET college, ensure you meet the admission requirements of the course of your choice. The general admission requirements are provided below:
National Certificate (Vocational)
- Grade 9 + college requirements set per program
NATED / Report 191
- Grade 9 for N1 admission
- Grade 12 for N4 admission
National Higher Certificate
- Grade 12 + requirements set by HE institution and college
Learnership
- Specific to program
NQF Full Time
- Specific to program
Non Formal
- Specific to program
ABET Or AET
- Specific to program
How To Apply To A TVET College 2026
Follow the steps below to apply to a TVET College for the 2026 academic year;
- Visit the official website of the TVET College of your choice
- Complete the online application form with the required information
- Make a payment of the application fee (if applicable)
- Upload certified copies of supporting documents. The supporting documents include:
- Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
- Certificates/Qualifications
- Recent Academic results
- Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
- A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
- The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).
- Review and submit your application before the closing date.
