The TVET Colleges has opened its online application portal for the 2025 academic year. If you’re interested in applying to TVET College for the 2025 academic year, do so NOW. The application portal is open to interested students who meet the admission requirements of the preferred college.

The application for the 2025 academic year is ongoing for all prospective students. Interested students must visit the official website of the TVET College of their choice, download the online application form and complete it with the required information. The completed application must be submitted for evaluation for the 2025 academic year.

TVET Colleges 2025 Application Opening Date

Tvet colleges in South Africa accept applications online. To apply to any of South Africa’s Tvet colleges, candidates must begin their application process between the 1st of April and the 30th of November for the 2025/2026 academic year.

All applications must be submitted before the closing date since late applications may not be considered.

Admission Requirement For TVET Colleges 2025

Admission requirements for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges vary based on the college and programme of interest. The general admission requirement for TVET Colleges is provided below:

National Certificate (Vocational)

  • Grade 9 + college requirements set per programme

NATED / Report 191

  • Grade 9 for N1 admission
  • Grade 12 for N4 admission

National Higher Certificate

  • Grade 12 + requirements set by HE institution and college

Learnership

To apply to a TVET College in South Africa for the 2025 academic year, follow the steps below:

  • Identify the course you wish to study
  • Fill in the application form available on the official website of the TVET College of your choice
  • Pay a non-refundable application fee( if applicable)
  • Upload certified copies of supporting documents like; certified ID copy, latest school results, ID copy of parent/Guardian and proof of payment.
  • Foreign candidates have the responsibility of evaluating their qualifications with SAQA before applying; 
No foreign students will be accepted if this is not done.
  • Once your application has been submitted, the college will inform you if you have been admitted.

Documents Required To Apply For TVET College

Applying to a TVET College requires that you upload certified copies of supporting documents. The following documents are required:

  • certified copies of ID/Passport/Birth Certificate
  • certified copies of the ID of the Parent/Legal Guardian
  • 1 ID-size photo
  • Copy Certified of latest school report/Grade 9 or Higher
  • A unique Email address and cellphone number
