The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) vision is South Africa’s vision, with a differentiated and completely comprehensive post-school system, providing access to post-school education and training related to South African people. The Role of DHET TVET Colleges

The “Department of Higher Education and Training” is known as DHET in South Africa. It is a government agency in charge of managing and regulating the nation’s higher education and vocational education and training systems. Universities and other institutes of higher education in South Africa are under the control of DHET.

It establishes guidelines, allots resources, and guarantees the standard of instruction and research at these establishments.TVET colleges, which offer practical and vocational instruction to prepare students with skills for a variety of sectors, are governed by DHET.
