In the past, established academic institutions were usually seen as superior to TVET Colleges. What is meant by a TVET College

Technical and Vocational Education and Training is shortened to TVET. By definition, technical and vocational education and training programs are vocational or occupational, which means that students are taught and trained with an eye towards a certain range of careers, employment opportunities, or entrepreneurial endeavours. Some students may be eligible for admission to a University of Technology under specific circumstances, allowing them to pursue higher education in the same field of study as they did at the TVET College.
