Technical and Vocational Education and Training colleges (Tvet )will accept your applications beginning in the second Trimester/Semester, as directed by the Division of Higher Instruction and Planning. Shortly, application dates will be posted on their official stages and venues. In addition, universities will reject any late applications for the current trimester/semester, as well as requests for capability modifications.
All second-semester applications must be done online on the official website of the college of your choice. The application portal opens for second-semester registration to allow high school graduates and returning students who could not apply during the first-semester application period.

TVET Colleges Second Semester Registration Opening Date 2025
TVET Colleges’ Registration date varies based on the TVET College of your choice. However, the general application date for TVET Colleges is April through November 30. Prospective students must ensure that they apply for the academic year during the application period. Late applications may not be considered for the 2025 second semester period.

Prospective students are required to meet the admission requirements of the course /program they wish to study at TVET College. The admission requirement varies from college to college, however, the general admission requirements of TVET Colleges are provided below:

How To Apply TVET Colleges For Second Semester 2025
Candidates applying online may not hence apply to employ a paper-based application If it’s not too much trouble note that getting an understudy number (reference number) does not suggest you’re an enrolled understudy until you have formally registered. Therefore applying to a TVET College for the 2025 second semester must be done online on the official website of the college. To apply;
- Visit the official website of the TVET College of your choice
- Complete the online application form with the required information
- Make a payment of the application fee(if applicable)
- Upload certified copies of supporting documents. The supporting documents include:
- Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
- Certificates/Qualifications
- Recent Academic results
- Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
- A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
- The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).
- Review and submit your application before the closing date.
