TVET Colleges Bursaries
TVET college bursaries are financial aid programmes meant to give financial help to students pursuing vocational and technical education at TVET colleges. These grants are intended to make education more accessible to people from various backgrounds who may encounter financial difficulties. TVET colleges provide a variety of practical and skill-oriented courses that prepare students to enter a variety of industries and trades.
TVET college bursaries provide financial assistance to cover a variety of education-related expenses, including tuition, textbooks, course materials, and, in some cases, even housing and living expenses. They also allow students to enrol in vocational and technical courses that focus on specific trades, industries, and practical skills.
Requirement For TVET Colleges Bursaries
The specific requirements for TVET college funding differ depending on the institution providing the grant and the programme or topic of study. The general requirements for TVET Bursaries are:
- Signed bursary application form
- 5 Certified copies of I.D.
- Proof of income (grant, pensions, etc) of both parents OR
- An affidavit, if parents/sponsor/guardians are unemployed, deceased or their whereabouts, are not known
- Latest academic results of the applicant (average of 40%)
- Proof of residence
- I.D. or birth certificates of all household members
- Reports of all students in the household
TVET Colleges Bursaries Eligibility Criteria
TVET college bursary criteria differ depending on the institution, the individual bursary programme, and the country’s education system. To be eligible for TVET College bursaries have;
- A minimum academic qualification of Grade 9 (nine) is required, with a minimum average of 40%.
- The annual gross income of your household must not exceed R 122 000.
- You must have an acceptable academic record and demonstrate the capacity to complete the program successfully.
- You must consent to continued counselling and academic evaluation.
- The Bursary will pay the cost of classes.
It may also pay a portion of the cost of living and/or travel. - Before any funds are given, the student must sign a bursary agreement for the bursary to be completely effective.
How To Apply TVET College Bursaries 2024
NSFAS bursary can be sent through the NSFAS online application or their offices. On the other hand, if you are applying online, you can follow the steps below;
