TVET Colleges Application Opening Date 2026-2027
TVET Colleges application dates may vary depending on the TVET College and program of your choice. The application portal of TVET College opens annually to accept applications from all interested individuals who desire to study at TVET College.
The online application portal for admission into the 2026-2027 academic year opens on September 1, 2025, through to November 30, 2025. Therefore, all prospective students must apply within this date to be considered to study at any of the prestigious TVET colleges.
Admissions Requirements To TVET Colleges 2026-2027
Academic requirements differ based on the degree of education you want to pursue in South Africa. However, the general admission requirements of TVET Colleges are provided below
- Bachelor Degree
A National Senior Certificate is required for admission to the bachelor’s degree program (NSC). The Matriculation Board on behalf of HESA issues a certificate of exemption from the matriculation endorsement requirement, or a university of technology issues a conditional admission certificate.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration
A bachelor’s degree or honours degree in the relevant discipline, as well as outstanding academic achievements, are the minimum entry requirements for the master’s degree.
- Doctorate Degree
A Master’s degree or an equivalent degree from a professional institution is the minimum entry criterion for the Doctorate Degree.

Prospective students applying to study at TVET colleges must upload supporting documents during the application process. The following documents are required of all applicants:
- Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
- Certificates/Qualifications
- Recent Academic results
- Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
- A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
- The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).
