TVET Colleges Bursaries Eligibility Criteria 2025
Eligibility criteria for bursaries given by Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions might differ based on the programme, the institution, and the funding source. The general eligibility criteria are provided below;
- A minimum academic qualification of Grade 9 (nine) is required, with a minimum average of 40%.
- The annual gross income of your household must not exceed R 122 000.
- You must have an acceptable academic record and demonstrate the capacity to complete the program successfully.
- You must consent to continued counselling and academic evaluation.
- The Bursary will pay the cost of classes.
It may also pay a portion of the cost of living and/or travel. - Before any funds are given, the student must sign a bursary agreement for the bursary to be completely effective.

Requirement For Bursaries For TVET Colleges 2025
Applicants of TVET Colleges bursaries are required to provide the following;
- Signed bursary application form
- 5 Certified copies of I.D.
- Proof of income (grant, pensions, etc) of both parents OR
- An affidavit, if parents/sponsor/guardians are unemployed, deceased or their whereabouts, are not known
- Latest academic results of applicant (average of 40%)
- Proof of residence
- I.D. or birth certificates of all household members
- Reports of all students in the household
How To Apply TVET College Bursaries 2025
TVET Colleges bursary can be sent through on the NSFAS online application or by through their offices. On the other hand, if you are applying online, you can follow the steps below;
- Create a profile:
Create a myNSFAS account via this link: https://my.nsfas.org.za/ or download the NSFAS App on Google Play or App Store. Your ID number will be your username.
- Apply now:
Click on the “Apply’ tab to update your personal information and upload your application supporting documents, as indicated.
- Complete:
Submit your application
OR;
- Visit the official website of the TVET College Bursary of your choice
- Complete the bursary application form
- Upload certified copies of supporting documents
- Submit your application before the closing date.
