Accredited TVET Colleges In South Africa
There are 50 registered and accredited public TVET Colleges in South Africa which operate on approximately 364 campuses spread across the rural and urban areas of the country. Students get technical and occupational education and training in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges. They are ideal places to study if you want to start a career in a certain skilled profession, or technological vocation, or if you want to create your own business one day.
You can study for various certificate qualifications, and the entry requirements are significantly less than for a university (typically a grade 9 year-end report and a certified copy of your and your parent/ guardian’s ID). You may even be eligible to continue your studies at a University of Technology at a higher level in the same field.
